LOC Creative at Chiddingstone Castle Christmas Fair 2025: A Magical Day of Festive Scents, Italian Glass & Local Craftsmanship
The festive season officially began for us on 28th November, when LOC Creative attended the Chiddingstone Castle Christmas Fair 2025 – and what a wonderful day it was. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by the charm of a magical venue, friendly customers, and the warm buzz of Christmas shopping. As a local Kent business creating luxury candles, diffusers, wax melts, and bespoke Italian glass, this event was the perfect opportunity to share our products with the community and connect with customers who truly value craftsmanship and quality.
Preparing the LOC Creative Christmas Display
Our preparations began on the Friday afternoon. We spent hours carefully planning and perfecting our table – and we loved every moment of it. We wanted our display to feel truly Christmassy, so we layered our table using boxes to create tiered product levels, hung fairy lights, added real Christmas tree branches, and decorated our very own LOC Creative Christmas tree with bespoke branded ribbon.
Every evening leading up to the event, we worked tirelessly until late – labelling stock, hand-wrapping gifts, pouring candles, and preparing melts so everything would be ready for customers. By Saturday morning, our table was filled with candles, diffusers, melt boxes, and artisan melters, all gift-ready and beautifully presented. The smell was divine – a mixture of festive spices, fresh pine, and cosy winter fragrance notes drifting through the air.
Customer Favourites: Nutcracker Wax Melts, Amalfi Diffusers & Italian Glass
Throughout the day, we met so many lovely customers who took a real interest in our products and our story. Our Italian glass, especially the bespoke white-gold Amalfi range, caught everyone’s eye. As a hand-blown glass collection created exclusively for LOC Creative in Venice, it became one of the most admired parts of our display. Customers commented on how exquisite the pieces looked and how beautifully our fragrances paired with the glass.
One of the biggest hits of the day was our Nutcracker Wax Melt Box in Christmas Spice. Filled with festive-shaped melts, it quickly became a favourite for those looking for a cosy winter fragrance. Customers also loved that we offered handmade melters produced by a local Kent potter, allowing them to buy a complete Christmas package of melter and melts.
Our Amalfi diffusers were another standout, and we were thrilled to sell five throughout the day. We also sold a trio of our Christmas Tree candles to a lovely customer who adored the idea of matching festive décor with fragrance.
A Heartwarming Experience We’ll Never Forget
One of the most memorable parts of the fair was meeting a wonderful couple whose wife had a visual impairment. We absolutely loved taking the time to guide her through our hand-blown Italian glass collection, letting her explore each unique vessel through touch and sight. Watching her connect with the colours, shapes, and textures of the glass was incredibly special to us. Moments like these remind us why we create products that are tactile, beautiful, sensory, and truly unique.
Why Supporting Local Matters More Than Ever
Visitors at the fair really valued the fact that we are a local, eco-friendly, cruelty-free business based in Ryarsh, Kent. Our artisan melters are made by a Kent potter, and the wooden plinths used in our displays are hand-carved in Dorset from oak, walnut, and spalted beech. Every candle, melt, and diffuser is poured and produced in our Kent studio with care, craftsmanship, and sustainability in mind.
